Adjust for zero slack on the bottom of the lobe, then tighten 1/4 turn down. Start and re-adjust if necessary. The reason we did this was just in case we float the valves. With only 1/4 turn down, the lifter can't inflate far and less possibility of valve - piston damage.

But then everyone else here isn't as stupid as I and never float valves.
