It's not that they have more emissions stuff on them. It's the computers program. The pre and post injections are waste of fuel. The Duramax has a "hydrocarbon" injector. It's only purpose is to inject fuel into the exhaust. Pouring fuel into the exhaust to clean up the tail pipe emissions. What a waste.

There isn't a new truck out there that's going to pull that big of a trailer at 70-80 and get good fuel mileage. Driving 55 should put you in that 13-15 mpg range.
