Default P0441 Code problem

I have a 2003 Neon SXT. My check engine light has been coming on now for a while. Each time it does, the code produced is: P0441 which has to do with the EVAP Purge System. Once reset, the light may come back on in a day or two or it has been as long as a month. Whatever the problem is, its intermittent. I have replaced the fuel cap, hoping for an easy fix but didnt do the trick. Does anyone know of any other ideas or tests that I can do myself without having to go to the dealer? Thanks.

Instead of throwing money into that car trying to get the light to go out your better off having the dealer hook the computer up to it. You could replace everything on it that you can think off and still never fix it.

Default P0441 Code Problem

Yeah, I guess thats what I'll end up doing, but I was hoping someone else had experienced the same problem and could give me some ideas of what could be the problem. Dealers are just too expensive..

I just bought a 96 neon and I am getting a couple codes, I searched on the internet Neon check engine codes, and I got about twenty good sites, I learned alot, I saw that the newer neons had codes like yours, so I would suggest typing in your code in a search site, I bet you will find it easy like I did.
I even found a site that had every code listed and what it took to fix it. I found that interesting.
Good luck.
I just searched and the best I can come up with is an air leak, maybe a cracked hose, or a hose fell off, I would check all vacuum connections, should only take a minute or two.
