That's a good question. I was looking at those heads on the MP partsw book and wondered if my Weaind T Ram could be made to work with them as well.

Reason I ask Id like to try a Indy Tunnel Ram with 2 8896-1 dominators see if its better than the indy single carb cast intake Im running now. I also feel my compression to be on the low side for a tunnel ram type application. Right now its near 12:.25:1 with a flattop. The engine is a RB based 493 short block, with a set oc CNC'd 440-1 Indy heads from Modern Cylinder head, flow is 380+cfm.... Im running Jesel rockers system, spray bar oiling etc they have 1.7 ratio, which puts the comp sutom grind roller near .780 lift. I have only made it to the track 1 time due to work and weather (just got it togather 3-4 weeks ago also) and only made one full bore 1/8th mile pass..... it definatly runs good running 6.30 at 110mph with a real bad 60ft of 1.47 with optimal gearing, and a looser converter it should run consistant 6 teens.......Not bad for 3600lbs pickup truck........Need to get a roll cage over the winter, send the converter off for a change (PTC) and put the Dana in to give the 741 case a break

Anyways
The Indy tunnel ram adds 50-60hp but with linkage etc its a $1000 setup, I already have the carbs. Anyone have experiance with this setup?

I've seen Wieands opend up to Max-Wedge, but they are thin on the upper side, of course it is easy to add some aluminum weld on the runner tops. You've got plenty of compression for a tunnel ram. Don't by into those old storys of tunnel rams only being good for ultra high rpm, high compression engines, the truth proves those to be myths. Back to back tests on Mopar big blocks have showed them to have a broad powerband and great mid and top end than any single four intake.
