Default My 4.7L from my WJ Jeep needs rebuilding. Any recommendations while I'm at it?

Unfortunately it seems I inherited a used WJ that had previously been cooked without it causing too many issues...that was until recently when my less than 6 month old replacement radiator decided to start breaking down due to a stray current and it all started getting hot.

Bottom line, it turns out that this was the straw that broke the camel's back and the big end bearing went, causing the crank to start flopping around (picture a little man inside your motor your motor smacking a hammer around).

Anyway, the engine is about to be rebulit regardless, and it's costing me thousands already, so I was hoping that some of you may have some good thoughts about things I can do to add to the performance of engine while it's being rebuilt (eg. polishing heads, new cam, etc, etc)

Cheers,
BDASH...
