Bastard T-stat housing?
Will a (dont hit me!) chevy thermostat housing fit a Mopar? Are the holes off a bit? My cast iron housing is sad and I really could use almost a 90 degree so my upper hose could shoot toward the radiator. Thanks
Update. Guess what, same gasket as a 332-428 FE block ford and pre-66 Buicks. Ill start looking there. |

a big block chevy t-stat housing will fit but you wont be able to use the t-stat as the chevy t-stat is smaller diameter and will just fall into your intake manifold. I used one for a while as it was the only way I could get one with an 0-ring seal. The o-ring seal very nicely and have not given me any leaks. I have since found a good mopar sized housing with an o-ring so I e-bayed the BBC piece and got some of my money back.
