Spec'd out a 2001 Ram Quad cab 2500 5.9 turbo deisal Cummin's with 5 speed stick... Will be putting $$$ down on Thursday 06/29/00. Can't order till end of July as the factory is shut down for re-tooling. My ??? should I get the 4.10 gears or 3.55 I will be pulling trailering moderately, doing lots of four-wheeling - please comment...thanks.

save your money. Not worth fighting with Chrysler and or dealers. They will just lie to you about mileage or anything they have to to get you to spend your money. Believe me, they forget you ever existed as soon as your check clears.

If you will be pulling freqeuently go with the 4:10's. Otherwise 3:55's are great.
Or you could get the 6spd to get the 505 torque monster diesel.

If you get the 6 speed I doubt you will ever need the 4.10s. I just drove my dads new quadcab dually. 3.54 rears. Regularly tows his dozer.
