Just got back from the track. 71 Duster 340 . With 360 truck heads, 280/474 cam, T-2 intake, 650 holley, 2500 hughes stall, 355 8.25 rear with 28" tires never ran better than 13.90`s at less than 100 mph. Usually ran 14.00`s to 14.20`s at around 98 mph. We swapped out the heads for 360 eddy`s and the cam to a xe274. All else the same. 3 passes made 13.31@102.63, 13.33@103.21 and 13.25@102.43. 1.96 to 2.00 were the 60`s. So the gear and stall need to be changed. But it says something for the eddy heads and the 274 chebbie cam. This is shifting at 5800 rpm[cast pistons@060]. Now for the 12`s.

Congrats, change that carb, its too small, put you a 750dp on there & start jetting it up, work on the 60fts some & your 12s are there
