When i bought my IROC R/T two years ago, nobody noticed. When I started despensing local hotshots in "nip-speed" (nothing meant by that) cars, people began to talk. Still nobody believed that my car was really fast. My first real race was with a hopped up 305 Camaro Z-28. He reved, so then i reved. He wasnt impressed and his ignorance would cost him. He gave me the thumbs down. At that point I was not going to waste my time. But you do not give me and my baby the thumbs down. I actually made it a point to race a circle around him. I accelerated past him, crossed to the left, braked and got behind him, crossed back to the right, passed him on the right again to complete the "lap of total embarassment." Then came the big boys. I despensed of two LT-1s and a Mustang convertable (with a bumpity bump cam that shook my mirrors) in the HS parking lot rather quickly. I raced a "hardguy" in a ZZ engine 87 Camaro. He almost kept up. Also despensed of a 300ZX Twin Turbo with coffie can (large tip) exhaust system in a 60-135mph race. One of my favorites was racing a Z-3 on RT34 by a police station. We were side by side passing through 120 MPH (no lie) when we passed a cop in the other lane. The divider saved us as he couldnt turn around. I did manage to see the look on his face though, a true classic. After a while people didnt want to race me anymore. Excuses here and there. I had to start taking out my moms Spirit R/T to get people to race.I could go on forever but It would make me seem like a lawless speed junkie...he he.*
