THIS IS TO BE THE FIRST OF MANY SUCCESS STORIES I INTEND TO POST. MY SLEEPER OF CHOICE IS A '93 DAKOTA EXTENDED CAB TRUCK. DON'T LAUGH IT'S THE BEST SLEEPER I'VE EVER HAD. I'M AN OLD STREET RACER FROM DAYS PAST BUT RECENTLY RETURNED TO THE STREET WITH THIS TRUCK. IT HAS A 318, PORTED HEADS, PORTED INTAKE, HEADERS, 3" EXHAUST, CUSTOM FUEL SYSTEM, ROWDY ROLLER CAM, VORTECH R-TRIM, BUILT A-518 AUTO TRANNY, 8 1/4 WITH SURE GRIP AND 4:10 GEARS. MY FIRST OUTING I PUT SPANKING ON A 1999 Z-28SS CAMERO; SPANK! THEN CAME A HOST OF OTHER VICTIMS: MITSU 3000 GT TURBO, SPANK! PAXTON SUPERCHARGED CAMERO, SPANK! NITROUS'D LT-1 S-10, SPANK! TOYOTA SUPRA TURBO, SPANK! WS-6 TRANS AM, SPANK! BIG BLOCK CAMERO, SPANK! BUICK GRAND NATIONAL, SPANK! THE LIST GOES ON. I DID GET BEAT BY A BUILT TOYOTA SUPRA. HE GOT ME BY TWO LENGTHS ON A BAD DRIVE(I INADVERTANTLY SHORT SHIFTED FIRST GEAR AND LET HIM GET AHEAD OF ME). THIS WAS WHEN I HAD 3.55 GEARS IN THE TRUCK. I'M LOOKING FOR HIM NOW THAT I HAVE 4.10 GEARS. MY BEST RUN TO DATE WAS AN 11.94 @ 123 MPH! NOT BAD FOR A 4150lb. TRUCK IN FULL STREET TRIM. THE TRUCK IS TOTALLY INVISIBLE TO THE POLICE AND TO THE UNSUSPECTING IT IS A TOTAL SLEEPER. I'VE EVEN HAD MANY RACERS LAUGH AND SAY THEY'D BE GLAD TO TAKE MY MONEY, NOT! IT'S GREAT FUN. THE WORD IS STARTING TO GET AROUND BY NOW AND RACES ARE GETTING HARDER TO GET. THE GUYS WHO WANT TO RACE ME NOW ARE OUT OF MY LEAGUE(FOR NOW ANYWAY) SO I GUESS SOMEDAY SOON I'LL HAVE TO BUILD THAT 398 STROKER I'VE GOT IN MIND, WITH BIG, BIG BOOST OF COURSE! P.S.
