Default Oil strainer and Tube Removal on BB

what is the process for removal of this part in the sump, wish to remove and give a good clean and air blast. Have tried by hand to turn to no avail. I do not want to damage.

Thanks

Eddy

They just turn out by hand. Guess you'll have to get rough with it. I usually just replace them cause they don't cost much and they are hard to clean especially if it's been in an engine full of crud or something that broke and filled it full of stuff.

ok, clockwise or anti clockwise. Your right had 1 inch of crud in bottom of sump.

If you don't think it will go by hand, use a pipe wrench. I find I have to do this quite often.

Reefing on it by hand, may break it off.

Turn "anti" clockwise, to get it out.
