Default Intake

Has anyone used a Weiand Stealth #8022 intake on a 360?If so ,how did it perform? I had one given to me and I was thinking of using it on my new 360 for my truck. This engine is going to be stock exept for a mild RV cam.

They work pretty good. You'll need an adapter/spacer to install the Thermoquad on it, but ina truck that's no issue. THey work great with a good dual pattern cam and Tq. You will like it.

A stealth performs about like a stock manifold, without the need for a spacer to run a squarebore.
Don't bolt it on hoping for big HP gains.

Actually the Stealth is good from idle to 6800 like an air gap.

Weiand says it does, but my experience has taught me differently.
Air gap would be a better manifold, I am sure. (I have ran performer RPM's with good results)

Plus there's really not much wrong with the stock iron 360 manifold either, except for the fact it is iron; they work fine on a mild engine.

Well, the plot thickens.I have decided to rebuild an 88 tbi motor and use a comp 264HR12 hydraulic roller cam.I'm going to use a mechanical fuel pump, and probably a holley 670 street avenger carb.

Can't see the Weiand hurting that combo any. 88 tbi, that's tha last pre-magnum LA with the good heads, isn't it?

Default intake

I thought my 340 had better driveablity when I switched from the Victor 340 to the stealth, who knows the 340 always used a lot of gas with either intake.
