Mt dad owns this business where people give him old house to tear down. They are always old crappy houses and his job it to go in, get all the junk out and get it ready to be smashed. He has the owner sign an agreement that anything left in the house or dwelling his his. On one site, him and my uncle were in a garage getting crap out and my uncle notices a tarp covering something in the corner. He takes the tarp off and there, sitting on some bricks is a complete 426 max wedge. Everything is there, belts, airclearner, everything. He calles my dad over and tells him what he found. Then my dad says to him.." I got no need for it, you want it, you can have it." I heard about this from my brother, I did some checking and come to find out that the block alone is worth 4000 dollars. When I told my dad he damn near crapped a brick. My uncle had already sold the entire engine for $500. I told him and all he said was"Well, it was free so I still made a profit" Now some lucky SOB is driving around with this hell of a bargen.

Cordoba-Few have been so close the "Holy Grail" only to have it slip thru their fingers. I think you took it alot harder than your Dad! But, hey, be consoled in the fact that, in a way, you gave a MAX WEDGE back it's life! Maybe you could find the guy who bought it, make an offer and take back what should have been yours--just a thought...
