I had a guy in a riced out Civic pass me with his fart tip buzzing last night so I gave it about 3/4 throttle and he was pulling away just a little, so I finally nailed it. By the time I hit 100 I had to jab the brakes to keep from hitting him. I think he had let off at 90 though. Anyways, I noticed that at about 85 it seemed like I had a tire out of balance. This morning I found a sheet metal screw in my right rear tire. Two cans of fix a flat seem to have worked, but they barely inflated that big ass tire. I guess I'll have to remember to buy the big cans this time. Good thing I didn't go any faster, It would have sucked to throw the screw out and have a flat

Na COLORMECLONE, I always drive like that. My mileage is really consistent, unfortunately it's consistently dropping

POWERWAGON, I doubt that it would have been too bad if the screw was flung out. I had that happen on my Polaris 4wheeler at 60mph and all it did was scare the crap out of me when I felt it hit the underside of the fender. Felt like I got hit in the ass, My buddy on the back thought he got hit too...LOL We got tired of patching holes so I just carried some screws and fix a flat. Worked great!!!!!!!! Usually

Guam, actually I was saying that it would have been uguly if the tire would have gone down. I know what you mean about the sound of the screw coming out and scaring you, my driveway is 3/4 of a mile and all gravel. Those damn rocks come out of the tires at will for the first mile or so after getting to the pavement and just when you think it is all done here is one more....it is a daily thing for me.

Imagine that sound being made by a piece of 1/16th plastic under your ass. That's why my buddy felt the urge to check his shorts.
