Thumbs up

I was behind a BMW the other day going about 45mph on a small country road when we came to a long straight away and the dotted lines came up I went to pass. Didn't stomp on it or anything just going to pass normal like. When I get over into the left lane I see a a small puff of smoke come from this guys exhaust as he gets down on it. I guess at this point I could have done the correct adult like thing and just let him go and pulled back over into the right lane. But it was one of those moments where you don't think, you just react. So I droped it back in 3rd and punched it. He allready had a little more than a car length on me so my work was cut out for me. I think I got up even with him around 80mph and when I finally got by him I was running 105mph! Normally I don't go this fast but there was nothing but open fields on both sides of us in the middle of the day. He was actually cool about it and as I looked in my rear view mirror and started slowing back down he gave me a big thumbs up and a grin. It was quite exciting. I have had a few other kills in the past 2 weeks with the new supercharger(a Tundra, a F150, and a few rice rockets) but none of those reached speeds much more than 80mph. Stop light to stop light kinda runs.

That's one sharp looking truck! I can't wait to get a chance at one of those Lightings. Even if he wins I'm sure I'm going to give him a run for his money with this 4x4. I took some more 0-60 mph readings with my G-Tech Pro today with a low of 6.0 sec. and average 6.4sec. I haven't posted any pics of my truck yet because I'm not sure how. I'll look through some of the older posts and see if I can figure it out. If I can I'll throw some up.

Biggrin

I went to the Dakota site and finally got it. The only way I could make it work was to type out the url address instead of clicking on the pic and copy- paste. The pics are at photopoint. Here is one of my Dakota and one of my old Ram.

Thanks c_95mopar360R/T! I don't have the Ram anymore. It is a '97 4X4 with the 5.2. I had a MP throttle body, Jacobs ignition, underdrive pullies, and an Airaid intake with K&N fiter for engine mods. on it. Also beefed up the stereo a bit and of course you can see the exterior mods. Loved the truck, but turned it in on the Dakota I have now. I've had alot of people ask me if I like the Dakota better. I don't know? Guess I miss the Ram sometimes, but I'm definately happy with the combination of mods on this Dakota also. Both trucks are awesome in their own ways.
