Just wanted to let you know that Adam was injured today during testing at new Hampshire Speedway. He died of head trauma. Best wishes to the Pettys and the crew.

Yes I also could not believe it neither when I read it on the net. Such a promising young talent cut short. His death hit me harder than I would have thought too. Maybe cause he was so young, maybe cause he is a Petty, I guess it is all of those things that make this just as hard as when Davey Allison died. I watched every race Adam was in, I'm sure gonna miss him .

Thumbs down

What a shame!!! I'm an offlander (Australia), but I appreciate the Petty's as one of if not the most well known families when it comes to flying the Mopar flag. Condolences to his family - they all do Mopar proud

We've lost one of the brightest young stars in the sport. Adam was one of the drivers that made me proud to be a NASCAR fan. Such a nice kid. I am truly saddened and I extend my heartfelt condolencses to Kyle, Patti, and the rest of the Petty family.
