Nascar Intrepid approved

FINALLY APPROVED. Dodge teams received the NASCAR-approved templates for the 2001 Dodge Intrepid Tuesday morning. The teams can start building cars and working on getting the engine approved. It has not been submitted to NASCAR yet.

The info I posted is word-for-word from an article in today's Richmond Times-Dispatch. The article doesn't get into specifics about the engine or anything else

Jayski quotes the same article and the Jayski web site is probably the best place to keep informed about this. He posts information daily from each and every NASCAR news source out there.

Another major step closer to Dodge's return to Winston Cup! I'm getting excited already! I hope Bobby Hamilton gets the other Ganassi ride next year. He comes from a long line of Mopar guys such as Cotton Owens.
