Ford vs Mopar rear end
I have a question and am totally confused. I have a 9" Ford rear end underneath my 340 Duster. The question I have is with having tire size of 255x60 15 on 15x8" rims will my tires sit further inside the fender wells with the Ford 9" or will they stick out farther? I was told they would be further inside compared to the 8 3/4 mopar rear end. This is where I am getting confussed. I have purchased OEM leaf springs and am concerned about clearance..

Do you have the stock axle? If so, measure the difference between the stock one and the 9". There are alot of different sized 9" depending on what it came from.

The only way to tell is to measure. You need to spec. your back spacing and work the centerline dimension to the outside. If you have to - take it to a wheel shop and have them measure it for you.
