From the Philadelphia Inquirer Motorsports Notebook:
Parked for now. Dodge is returning to Winston Cup racing next season, but you don't have to wait until the Daytona 500 in February to get a glimpse of the sport's newest stock car. Tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Ray Evernham Racing's No. 19 Dodge Intrepid will be on display at Weathers Dodge on Baltimore Pike in Lima, Delaware County. |

John Andretti took the first stock car out onto the new Chicago track for a show to reporters. He was driving the #19 Intrepid R/T. Later he drove the street version with a few reporters along for a ride. One reporter said they were going 130 in the straights and 110 in the corners. I guess that is not too shabby for a street car with street tires. Here's the links for the story and pics.

Great article and photos! Who says watching "stock" cars race wouldn't be interesting? I'd pay the price of a Winston Cup ticket to watch 43 Intrepids, Taurus', GP's and Monte Carlos run 200 miles in stock form!
