Default Finally got the 360 in

Keep your fingers crossed. I`m going to fire it up tomorrow after I finish the exhaust. As many threads have suggested the Hooker Super Comps were a big pain in the ass. Didn`t fit for shit. I almost said "F" it and bought the TTI`s but the little woman would have my ass.

Check and double check everything before you turn the key - good luck.

He will do just what the rest of us do and say he just rebuilt the 340 to stock specs.

Your right Dart. I won`t tell anybody it`s a 360. Funny how I never gave the 360 the same respect as the 340. When I see 340 I say "Wow, 340, cool." On the other hand when I see 360 I say, "eh, OK." Is that weird or what?

It won't be wierd when you step on the "go pedal". the torque of the 360 is "quit" noticable above the 340 - the 24 cubes don't hurt either.
I went from a 400+hp 345ci to a 360/388ci 450+hp. you will notice a significant difference.
Whenis "fire in the hole" time?
If ya have any questions or concerns beforehand - send me a pm.

OK, so I did all the things I`ve read hear over the past couple of years and guess what? It fired on the first try. Fuel in the carb, fuel pump, timing eyeballed at about 30, prelubed, everything checked and double checked. Man, what a relief. This baby sounds wicked. Has all the chop and burble that I`d hoped for. Don`t know how fast it will be, but it sure sounds good! Could not have done it without you guys either directly or indirectly.

Congrats'
Just by what I see in the pictures, she looks to be a fast reliable build.

Where is your PCV valve?

The PCV valve is on the other side. I don`t have an oil breather yet for the grommet that you see in the picture. The breather off the 340 doesn`t fit.
