Gripe good replacement tranny mount

...buttoning up my ride to start up the season and noticed my rubber tranny mount is ripped. It is for a 727 behind a mild 440(66 coronet). I cannot seem to find one aftermarket and went to the dealer and found one that is a different style.(won't work) everything I find is two bushings and a sleeve. Mine is a solid rubber type unit with one bolt that drops down into a square"cup" that is in the cross brace. I am sure this makes sense to someone.

Any recomendations on an aftermarket unit that I could use. I am ready to roll except this one holdup.....please help.

Check on Mancini Racing's website. I believe they have that particular one.

Was that made in Israel?

Both Kregan and NAPA's (4 speed) transmission mounts are made in Israel.

I believe that you are looking for the one that I have pictured. If so, most any auto parts store has it. They just need to get the moron out from behind the keyboard.

The Paddock has it for $13

The place that Jack recommended has the polyurethane version for $75. I think that I would take the rubber one for $13.

It's up to you; however, poly on a tranny mount doesn't give you a lot. The tranny mount isn't a major stress point (unlike the drivers side motor mount).

A rubber tranny mount will last at least 15 years. Heck many of these cars are still running the factory installed mount. That's 40 years on a rubber mount.

As the poly mount is almost 6 times the cost, it would be a minimum of 90 years, before you would replace enough rubber mounts, to make up the cost.

Default That's why your the big dog ehostler

...I always appreciate good input and sensable knowledge from someone who knows a bit about mopars. Being a young guy whos new to the building process...I sometimes tend to lean towards just spending more on the "better" product.

as long as you think that thing will hold up to my h.p. (and i'm not talking 900 hp)...then i will take your advice.

...as always (and this is no smoke blowing) thanks for everyones advice and input.

NAPA has the mount in ehostlers picture, #602-1121 for under $8.
