I didn't realize it until today but Nascar has approved the new R5/P7 Winston Cup engine for use in the trucks. But, only after Daytona. For the Daytona race the trucks will use the R3/W8 engine used last year(except cpmpression will be up to 12 to 1). After Daytona the trucks will actually have a choice of two engines for the rest of 2001.

Still don't know if Dodge will have enough engines to go around. Apparently the factory truck teams will have the new engine, don't know about independents.

Just about had a stroke at the cost of a R5/P7, something approaching $60K. The cost of a R3/W8 was bad enough($36K) but I am sure the cost will drop as development is absorbed. Maybe we could pool all our money and buy a valve cover to fondle?

I will keep my ear to the ground.

I am surprised that you only wanted a valve cover to fondle. I thought a "rod" or a "shaft" of some sort, might have been a more sexy choice for fondling. Oh wait, that is the other chat room I'm thinking of.

You mean there is another chat room for rods and shafts? Am I missing something?

Look at the link exchange box on the return page after making your post. (I just noticed it is on the bottom of this page as a sponsor also.) That was what I was refering to. Did you ever notice how us northern folk always end our sentances in a preposition?

I think sprint car drivers have the sexiest sounding devices on their cars. Injection, quick change rearend, in/out boxes etc.
