Isn't the new 4.7L engine (in Jeeps now, scheduled for trucks in 2002?) an overhead cam engine? It seems that the one time I looked at one it was a belt driven overhead cam engine. Either that or I was dreaming or on drugs or halucinating or.......

King you are correct. The new engine will replace the 318/360 across the board. It is chain driven and is a very nice design. The v-6 version of the 4.7 comes out later this year.Chrysler and the other makes were forced into OHC engines,as emission standards tighten. The OHC design allows varable cam timing as well.
