SuperChips, for one, makes a plug in programmer that alters the CPU program slightly. Performance characteristics are changed through transmission operation and a minor improvements in horsepower and torque, mostly through timing changes. Premium fuel is required. On my truck, I believe it was about 17 HP and 20 FT LBS of torque. It also moves the rpm of peak power into a more usable range, giving a better seat of the pants feel.

The Hemi is pretty decent right out of the box and may not respond to changes as well as other engines. However, it is a strong performer in its natural state.

OK, yes they do. Somehow, I read his post as wanting bolt-ons without going indoors. I imagine, given time and money, the Hemi could really get mean.

He could also play with CAI's and cat-back systems, but I have read that they don't do much for the Hemi, since DC did it pretty well.
