Have you looked at the diagram that is in the Performance Talk tech archives??

I guess that would be a 'No', otherwise you wouldn't have asked.

Axle Dimensions is the thread.

The Satellite is a B body and the Aspen is an F body.

According to the Chart (that is in the above noted thread) -

The 1970 B-body is .6" wider backing plate-to-backing plate
The B-body is .46" more narrow from perch-to-perch

So, you will need to move the spring perches in by .23" each, before it will bolt up properly. Then the rear wheel back spacing will need to be changed, as the wheels will be .3" closer to the springs and inner well housing. If you are running skinny tires, then the back spacing may not be an issue.

Also, if you are changing the type of rear, the drive shaft won't be the correct length.

Also, don't forget, if you are changing the gearing, the speedo pinion will also need to be changed.

Arrow If you decide to make the change......

You will have to change the spring mounts. The Aspen has a locating hole in the middle that is 20 times larger than the old setup which is just a locating pin. The Aspen uses a cup style hole. I did the reverse. I used a 69 rear in my Volare after breaking the stock rears twice and switched to the 8 3/4.

Did the same thing. Took the 8 3/4 out of my '69 Charger that got hit in the rear end and put it in one of my dirt track cars.
