You can get a lakewood bellhousing for the application.

I think a mild big block will kill that tranny, and why do you want a six speed, 5 is enough, even that gets to be to many. A big block can pull any gear, a small block needs rear end gears and a couple overdrives to stay in the power band. But then again, you need hp to keep a tall gear going. wind resistance kills the high speed fun with a tall gear.
I had 2.73 gears at first in my Valiant with a five speed, I couldnt even use 5th gear, as I was doing 100 +, got a couple speeding tickets too. Now I have 3.91 in it, and all I do is shift shift shift. Im putting 323 in it, hopefully that will be a good gear, but I feel it will be to tall still.
Just something to think about. The shifter is in a dumb spot to for most dodges I think. Thats why I went with a s 10 tranny, but a big block will definately kill that.
Keisler will have a bell I would bet.

Of course you can kill any tranny but since that same T56 is used behind 500 HP Vettes and Vipers I don't see a mild to mid 440 build being to much.

Doctordiff has a bellhousing adapter for the T56 to the BB Mopar.

I still vote for the Lakewood bellhousing. The Keisler unit is not SFI certified. The Lakewood unit is. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would like to keep my feet intact, if I loose my clutch...

I cannot get the doctodiff link to work. It just comes up as a blank page.

If it is indeed the same trans as the Viper, then by all means, it must be strong enough.
All I seen on dr diff was 8 3/4, dana and some pistol grip stuff.

The T56 adapter isn't listed on Doc Diff's site, contact him personally.

I didn't save my email exchange with DoctorDiff, but when I asked about the adapter, he said it was very expensive due to the cost of billet AL at the time (a year ago?).

You might try asking the guys at Quicktime, they make a Viper adapter for small block fords (like they need a Viper trans...). I bet if you asked real nice, they'd put it on the list. I talked with them today about their T5/TKO/3550 adapter bell for small blocks, and they're nice folks, looking to add products to their lines. Mopars are new to them, so they're wanting to expand that side of the business.
