I bought one , but my car is Not Running Yet . I was Told by Someone that they are Good for What You Pay. But, There are a Lot of Better Ones . Like they say "You Get What You Pay For"

I have a 166K in my 73 Duster 360, it stall to about 2300 rpm.

Not a bad converter for the price...but if you can afford it...buy one that is made for your car.

I have read around and it seems there are a lot of mixed feelings about them. I just picked up a 175k for my 904 for a good price.

You will find the Mopar converters to be your best bang for your bucks. I do not think they are built for trans brake applications!

I run a Mopar 10" behind a 357 - 6 pack. I've stalled it up to 3000 no problem, regular launches are 2300 rpm. I've got the local Championship jacket, the trophy's and most important the Check! I run about 60 - 70 passes a year on it and about 3-4000 street miles a year. 3490 lb. BS23J0B car ( in cars for sale thread). Mine is about 20 years old and I have only had it rebuilt once due to drive snout wear.

If you have the desire, a CNC machined, forged hub , custom built unit is always best though.

Cheers

Ya sure did aar, you would believe how many people power brake it , then call the converter manufacturer{i have a good relantionship With One} and claim } it wont stall.

Default Island Torque Converters

Hotrod

Yes, we have an outstanding converter builder here in town as well. He has custom built for me, and overhauled them for me. I hear the same thing from people trying to power brake them, lol.

Cheers
