Axle Adjustment
I just put the rearend in lately and installed only the driver side axle so I could play with Wheels and Tires . I Don't have Time right now to finish it . But I noticed that there is about 1/8" play in the in/out movement . Is this Normal for the UnAdjusted side ???

Without an axle on the opposite side to hold the end play, a single axle will have excessive in/out movement.
FWIW, installing only a single axle and wheel assembly can be hard on the axle seals especially if they're old, the tapered axle bearing will only hold the axle centered in the seals when there is proper end play. |

There is no wheel on the axle . I just put a wheel on it for a short time to check clearance . I'll put the other side on tomorrow if I get a bit of time. Everything is new . The rearend is a 8 3/4" from a 68 or 69 B-Body 55" wide at the flange. Jack

The year doesn't really matter. Hotrod's question was pointless (as usual). JK gave you the information that you need.
