For no other reason than 6 packs have been done and $$-- I wish to setup a 2x4 system on my BB. It's a reasonably well built engine. all the good stuff. It runs low 13's just the way I drive it to the track, street tires and flowmasters . Has ANYONE else done this, and with what pitfalls and results ??

I don't have any BB experience, but I know that both the 383, the 426, and the hemi came with dual fours stock at one time or another. go for it, just be sure that you don't over carb for your compression. good Luck!

I did. It worked so well I wrote a book on it. The Edlebrock Vintage CH28 series manifold is still available (see Areohead Racing ads for instance) I used Carter carbs . A pair of old 500s but I have had people who read the book and did the build up use 650s and bigger with equal success. Although it is an old design the manifold is VERY responsive. Like a 74 Charger wieghing in at 4150 .lbs with driver turning 11.50s with flatop pistons on pump gas.
