Default 440 questions

Im putting a 440 in my 71 scamp,besides having to put different engine mounts and a 727 trans what is expected to run into.Will I have to put a different hood on my car,or modify the one on there,I ve also heard I will have to cut the wheel wells so the exhuast manifolds will fit.If anyone has any answers please help me!!

You'll need to tie the sub frames together for sure. I did one in a 74 Duster. I removed the wheel wells, but I run fender well headers in mine. You'll have to increase the RR spring rate as well. A ladder bar set up will help a strong engine get hooked up. I went so far with the engine that I finally installed a full cage in mine. Hope you have an 8 1/4 or 8 3/4 to put in it. That will hold up till you put some serious power to it too.
