No Power to Coil, What to look for?
Hello,
I have a 72 Demon, v8 car. I am having electriacal issues. I cannot get constant power to the positve coil wire. Where should I look for a problem? I have tried replacing the ECU as I traced that wire back. Would it have anything to do with my starter selenoid or my fusible link? Please help if anyone has any ideas as I am ready to take the sledge hammer to the whole thing. |

When the key is in the crank pos you should have 12V from the ign switch. when the key is in the run pos, 12v goes through the resister for power to the coil. Maybe check if you have power in the crank only pos or not. If his is the case you could have an open resister.
