Another header question
I am working on a 76 Charger SE with 360. Does anyone make a header for my car that will clear above the steering linkage rather than the linkage running through the header?

I'd call the header manufacturers.

2 that I know off.
Hooker Super Comp headers. (NOT the regualr Comp headers like you want to avoid.) Tube is 1-3/4. Will not clear the lakewood scattersheild on a manual trans. I have a 1979 Dodge Magnum. Same engine bay and ISO mounting system you have. Rubber busicuts at the K frame and oval's in the rear springs. TTI's. There more expensive, but getting the Hooker SC's to the same level of protection will be a leveling factor. |

No problem. The tti's will probably make more power. The Hookers are a single size tube geared towards a much more powerful engine sence. (Read race engine.)
Being the tti's are stepped, 1-5/8 and then larger, they will cover a braoder range in power and rpm. Also, being your car is a realtivly heavy B body, the tti's should help it perform better overall. |
