Smile Power Difference

Hi. I own a 71 Road Runner with a 440. The engine is close to stock, with addition to a Mopar dual plane intake, higher-duration cam, and 750 Speed Demon. At it's current state of tune, it makes 250 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. What power gains can I expect with an addition to Hooker super comp 1 7/8 headers and a complete MSD ignition (Distributor, Coil, Wires, and Box). Thanks

Make sure you have your timing correct. This sounds a bit weak for what you have. Many stock dampers spin and therefore timing can be 5-10 degrees from what you think you have. A piston stop will let you check the accuracy of your timing marks. You should have full advance 33-35 degrees by no later than 2500 RPM. The MSD and headers would be great. I live near you, let me know how you make out, Paul.
