Default May have a Problem !!!

Tonight I thought I should spray some Engine Fogger into the cylinders just to keep things nice and oily. Problem is I believe the 3" plastic extension blew off and into the cylinder I looked everywhere and No can find, I have a small mirror on a arm and tried to look into the cyl. But I cant see anything. I am thinking 1 Bring that cyl up to the top and probe around. 2 Pull the Cyl. head. 3 Leave it and See What Happens 4 ???????????????

May be able to rent one of those boroscopes to look in there. I'd be first inclined to back out the car and see if its on the garage floor anywhere, or in the engine compartment down in a little tight spot. I have a vision its tucked next to a tire (just kidding) (but could be!) I'll bet there are little grabby things that will allow you to snag it and pull it out. I wouldn't leave it in there.

Default Try this

First, have you any idea which cylinder it could be in? If so, pull that plug and bring it tdc. It should be lying at the low side of the piston, if it's there. Wrap a small piece of rubber hose onto your shop vacuum hose, and try to suck it out. Repeat for all eight cylinders.
Don't try running the engine with that spark plug out, it could easily bend a valve when the item hits top.

I know the cyl that I think it went into. I think I will try the vacuum and if that doesn't work I will try a piece of brake line threaded on to my air gun and try and blow it out with compressed air.

Ya, bring to top dead center, then use a small piece of wire with a hook on the end, and try to snag it through the sparkplug hole.

Just start it up without that plug in. May blow right out. Or just don't worry about it.

Try a small three finger grabber in the cylinder and try grabbing it.

Flexible Pick-Up Tool/ Mechanical fingers

If it were me .... I would leave it IN there. It will either blow-out or burn-UP !
