Default Nitrous

I have my first Mopar after owning Chevys for a number of years. I'm not terribly mechanical, but enough to change water pump, take the engine down to the heads and put it back together. I have a '73 cuda mild pro street with a beefed up 360. I'm thinking about have NOS installed because as is the case with most of us, I have the "need for speed". Any pros or cons you can offer? I have already gone on-line and done some research, but looking for opinions. Thanks.

Just make sure it has forged pistons in it or it will never survive. There's better safer ways to get speed out of it than the bottle too.

Thanks. I was only going to do a 125 shot. Nothing radical.

Exactly right. I pounded on a stock 318 that was in good shape with nitrous all sumer long, and it never got hurt. Just be sure to run good gas, retard your timing, read your plugs, and to beef up your fuel system. I had a Carter mechanical pump that was fed by the stock line, and it was fine. I ran about 125 shot, like you, and had my timing retarded, and my plugs a bit colder. Everything worked out fine.
Good luck!
