Default where would the shifter come out ?

i have a dakota possiblilty for a 318 drivetrain. its a good built up performance combo with a E body 4 speed trans.

if i schumacher service mounted a 318 4spd in a 92 dakota, where would the shifter come out? the 833 E body 4speed has a forward and rearward shifter location. i figure one has got to be close... right??? i m planning to cut the floor for the shifter.

has anyone done this to a dakota? will it all fit?
