HI everyone, I have a '65 Coronet 500 with a 440.
I am going to put some Weld Prostars on it, and was wondering what backspacing specs I should go with in the back? I have 275 tires for it (235 are on it now on cop car wheels) and think an 8" would be good, but not sure about that backspacing thing. It has stock rear spring setup, and stock 8 3/4 axle (but with 391 surgrip). Thanks for any help |

Well it is pretty easy to figure out what to do since you already have some wheels and tires on the car. Look at your existing setup and figure out if there is room on the outside or inside of the tire to go to a bigger size. Figure out how much offset you'll want the bigger tire to be from your existing tire then take off the wheel and measure the existing offset. That will tell you right there if you need to move the center of your new wheels in or out and by how much.
