Default PCV leakage ???

I have unbaffled valve covers. I was planning to use the standard Mopar style PCV. I was wondering if there would be any problem with oil getting in the Valve and into the tube What are you guy's using ???

Default I think

You will get some oil splash into the valve. Are the covers cast aluminum or stamped steel? Either way, you should be able to fab some baffles, for both the valve and the filler and vent holes. Have then welded in.

To much oil in the manifold/cyl will cause detonation. Do as peg leg says,or get new baffled valve covers.

Depending on the size of the hole in your vc, Moroso makes a pcv grommet with a built in baffle.

I have a set of the Moroso Chrome valve covers that I bought the pcv grommet/baffle for. Even with the stock valvetrain, the grommet was so long that it rested on the rockers. I would recommend either fabricating a baffle for your valve cover, or purchasing a set that has them already.

Thanks Everyone !!! I ordered Moroso's Valve cover baffle today. I 'll see how that works. I think I will order that PCV baffle that John mentioned. It would be nice if it works... Not really looking forward to drilling hole's in a Nice Old set of M/T covers. Thanks Again. Jack

On my bosses mid nine second drag car, he made metal baffles and JB welded them to the inside of the valve covers since there were no mounting holes . Been like that for years.

That's an Idea. I didn't want to be drilling holes. If the internal baffle PCV won't fit I will try the JB Weld. Thanks, Jack

Those baffled groments work great.
I have two on my Drag car and no PCV valve.
Have a paper breather in each one.

How tall are your valve covers? I have some old-school ribbed Holley valve covers that don't have any baffles and they are only slightly taller than OEM valve covers. I'm running stock valvetrain. Think those grommets will hit the rockers with these?

my valve covers are stock height appearing chrome.
they have no brand on them and were on the motor
when i bought the car.
It may be where the holes are stamped out but they
dont hit anything and i have 1.6 rockers.
if you need a height i could try and get a measurement for you.
Steve.
