Default Eddie 318/360 Peformer

What do you guys think performance wise of an Edlebrock "318/360 Performer"?
Comparable to a stock cast iron 4 barrel manifold or is it a little better? Its still on a parts car I got, so I was wondering what size ports does it have? 318's or 360's? Or some where in the middle?

The SB Edelbrock Performer is a good intake for a mild engine. It clears all hoods, will allow you to retain factory a.c. & accepts square & spreadbore carbs. It works well on a performance 318 with the 318 head, but if using this intake with the 340/360 head, there is port mismatch. The Performer has the smaller intake runners that are close to the 318 head sized port. If you have a 340 or 360, I'd use a different intake such as the old LD-340 or Performer RPM, just to name a couple. The stock iron 340/360 4bbl intake is also a pretty good piece, but I think the LD-340 or RPM would be a better choice for performance.

I'll be running KB-167's in a '67 318, Vodoo .494/.513 cam, with 2.02 360 J heads I port matched to the Felpro 340/360 gaskets already. I was looking a the Performer RPM. Was just wondering about this intake I already have. I also have an OLD Torker Eddie.

Performer RPM is your best choice. Small block torquers are JUNK and Performers in a warmed over engine will not cut it. -Bob

The Performer is very similar to the stock iron unit in performance tems. The nicest thing about this intake is the slightly smaller port size that suites miled 318 and stock or just over stock 360's.
The smaller ports provided a higher velocity of the air and fuel charge and can improve mileage because of this. However, this intake would be an underperformer for what you have up at the plate right now.

That Torker should be hanging on a wall or sold cheap. There OK performers for a on the chep build, but should really be left behind. Current intake manifolds will smoke the doors off the old intakes. (Save an LD-340 IMO)

After reading your post on your build, I think that the RPM or LD340 will fit the bill for a good street/strip type engine.
