Default Edelbrock or MoPerformance?

Is there a difference in the performance of these intakes or are they "close" to the same? Been trying to figure out ANY differences in the two. This is for a small block intake only. Any info is appreciated. I'm not concerned with the originality of the intakes, just performance between the 2. Thanks!

Edelbrock makes both intakes. EB just badges one with the MOPAR logo, for MOPAR Performance. Then MOPAR Performance jacks up the price.

Well, I like the looks of it better too. The finish looks cleaner. Might just be that it is new and hasn't had any one paint it or bead blast it, leaving some old corrosion, residue from leaks, carbon build-up, and paint on it. The photo was of a intake that was on E-bay recently. It went for more then you can buy them for brand new. Kinda surprised me someone would pay more then they could for at a Mopar parts counter. Guess they don't know what they can get them for.

I will agree with you there also,..BUT...I buy lots of parts from there and i have it worked out with my dealer, that if i find a part from Jegs or Summit, they will match it or try and come close!. I always try to support them or they won't be around much longer! They're standards are fairly high, and i saved $20 on my M1 intake over Jegs, and no shipping and handling to boot! I have dropped thousands there and will continue to do so,as i have the CAN/US border to contend with, and shipping and handling is outrageous! . It's getting harder and harder for the MOM and POP speedshops to be around anymore as the large mail-order giants are swallowing up the little guys! . I walk into my dealer and it's there the next day or so,and i leave knowing i have purchased a North American part, and i don't have to worry about a Taiwanese waterneck sprouting coolant everywhere!

Agreed, if I can. Our club worked out a nice deal to have us get 10% over cost on everything but appearal and small silly key chain like items.

Intakes and cams and etc....., good deals.

Confused

I have looked at the Mopar intake manifolds in the Jegg's catalog and the Summit catalog One thing I find that astounds me is how expensive they are! What are they made of ? Unobtainum ?

Default 6-pack intakes

I checked with Summit and they "SAY" there's are due in Friday the 29th of Feb. I have called several different Mopar Performance dealers and they all tell me the same thing, 17 on national back order and No "due in" dates. Will call Edelbrock and talk to those people to find out the real scoop. I had heard a while back that Edelbrock was going to stop making the original intakes, and was going to sell out what is out there in inventory and that'll be the end. Never found out if that is true or not though. Anyone else heard the same thing?
