Edelbrock or Offenhauser
The Edelbrock Performer manifold is said to be the best for low end performance but I have an Offenhauser Manifold which is not a dual plane manifold but the chambers for each side of the engine are walled off independently. What kind of performance can I expect out of this manifold on a 440 Motorhome engine being installed in a sedan?

Depends a lot on the combo.
If the motor is mostly stock-ish, then it will not be a good upgrade. I'd run an iron one from a 69 or 70 before I ran that, but that's just me. On the other end of the spectrum. If you have cam, gear and converter upgrades then it will be a bit of an upgrade over a stocker. Depending on how well matched it all is. |
