440 Source Aluminum "Stealth" Heads Update
One of my fellow Moparians had is OTB Stealths flowed at a local shop. These numbers are representitive of the heads in stock form with nothing more than blending the intake seat overhang into the bowl.
Here are the final flow numbers: Lift---Int-----Exh .200---142-----124 .300---205.5---159 .400---235-----190 .500---262.5---205 .550---268-----212 .600---278-----216 I did some quick port matching and seat/bowl blending. The intake ports are damn near the size of the valley pan in it's "as cast" size so there is virtually no meat that needs to be taken out. The port matches really, really well. I did a quick polish of the exhaust ports as well. I did not bother to polish any in the intakes other than knocking down any high spots. I like to keep the intake a little rough to help atomize the intake charge as well as promoting the mixture suspension. For street/strip these seem to be good. I did not bother with "teardropping" the guide bosses but I went as far as to blend the exhaust seats into the bowls. Even though it is not a big concern because of the direction of the exhaust flow I just wanted to clean up everything. I left the short side radii untouched as these are far better than the iron heads I have for comparison. All in all, I spent a little less than 2hrs. on one head. Now I have to make a carbon "rubbing" of the surface so I can get the appropriate head gaskets made. Looks like a gasket in the neighborhood of 4.5" will clear the combustion chamber even after milling .035". |

Hello Bud!
Nice heads. I saw a set a couple of weeks ago here. They are going on a Brand new Mopar Performance siamesed 440 block together with a 440 Source stroker kit. Did you get the TRW slugs installed yet? Mecki |

You left out the important pics. The short radius. The parts I could see were done well. Port matching and polishing do nothing more than please the eye. It's best to flow the heads with the mani you will be using. Was an ideal entry used during the test's. Paul.

I dunno. All I know is that these will match up just fine to my aluminum Edelbrock six pack manifold. That part is eye pleasing as well

I tried with 4.50" cometics and fel pro 1039's for 4.59" bore; both still hang over the chamber a little, the cometics slightly less.

i think the potential for these heads is quite good.
Here's a link to a post from a thread on moparts, where they were CNC ported http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/...gonew=1#UNREAD |
