Default Anyone ever heard of a Small block "Z" head???

I came across a set of small block heads the other day that I am interested in for my dirt car but not sure what they are. I was told they had 2.02x1.60 valves in them but do not know if they are stock that way or what. Anyone know?? Thanks for the info.

Default Z Heads

Its a set I am thinking about buying. Just said they were off of a 340 Duster. They are 915 Z heads like the 915 J heads. I am getting pics and will post some up.

Yes, I have heard of X O J and Z heads that were 2.02 valved. NEver seen one but I have seen 2.02 X O and J heads. I had a write up on all small block heads and they were covered. 2.02 valves can be had in almost any SB head, just a new hardened valve seat and a little blending. The X and J 2.02 heads flowed identical in almost all test I have read minus testing error.

915 in castting means its 71 2.02 1.60 head what gets real Confusing is the T/A head had same casting # and ya really gotta have a trained eye to tell the difffrences.

What is the casting number for a 1970 model just curious. I cant find any information anywhere on these Z heads. Kind of weird.

You mean to say that 915 was the replacement for the 894 in 71 and that they came 2.02 int on [340's only] and that the rest were 1.88 int standard 360.
915 Was also the last 3 of the cast #'s for T/A heads as well but obviously different.

How about this info (from "How to rebuild your small-block Mopar", page 49) 68-71 340, casting # 2531894, 2.02 intake, 1.60 ex., non-adjustable rockers. Next is casting # 3418915, listed as having 2.02/1.60 valves, but being supplied in 2 versions - the T/A with offset intakes and adjustable cast-iron rockers, (1970 only) and the other application is for 1972 340 and 71-72 360, both with 1.88/1.60 valves as noted above. Note that the casting # is listed as the same for both T/A and stock. Could the "X" designator refer to a T/A head? Was that T/A configuration the basis for the W-2 head?

W2-T/A
The wider pinch [more meat for porting] & offset int rocker are of the same thinking, after that they're different, mainly port wise.
894's in 71' most likely left overs.
I have never seen an x on the T/A's I've seen, but I've only seen a hand full.
