440 intake gasket question
I am putting my boat engine back together and have a intake question. I bought a Fel-Pro 96000 valley pan and on the box it says "does not contain manifold heat crossover gasket for 4 bbl carberator #2-90298", I can't find any reference to this part number, anybody else know what it is? My engoine is similar to a 440-3 HD truck engine.
Thanks, Dan |

Did you buy the pan from a marine engine supplier? The proper marine parts should interchange with those used when the engine was built.

The only marine specific part available is the head gasket made of stainless steel, everything else is car or truck gaskets. Isn't this 96000 valley pan the normal intake gasket used on street engines?

I think the 90298 gaskets are the ones on the crossover tube for the air injector pump, there is one at each end of the tube where it mates to the exhaust manifold.
