RAM360SST,
Thanks.
The Wheels are GARA's (I never heard of 'em either) and are 8 1/2 X 18's. The Tires are Pirelli Scorpion Zero's in 285/55-18.
I got 'em at the Tire Rack in South Bend, IN.
They mail-order all their stuff, but I chose to go there and have them intalled.
I can't say enough about the service I received there. The Intallation-Tech checked each wheel for "True and Balance" prior to mounting tires--(he rejected three) and checked and rechecked the unit balance of each. After all four were mounted, he installed them on the truck, then he applied chrome-wheel polish , cleaned the tires (removing all mold-release) and gave each one a final thorough clean-up before turning the truck over to me. I got to observe the whole process.
Tire-Rack "tests" all their "fitments", in Plus2 and plus3 to ensure there's adequate
clearance with no rubbing, etc., regardless of vehicle brand or type. The have a fleet of test vehicles that is just amazing, parked on display out front and in an adjacent parking-lot. It was well worth the trip and
an example of a business who really cares about "customer satisfaction".
For an expanded description of the truck, see my post on the "how many do we have out there"-- thread on this forum.
Thanks again,
Tom
