Edelbrock Victor MW #77949 Heads?
Is anyone running these heads?
Edelbrock Victor MW #77949 Heads: http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...b_victor.shtml These flow numbers were posted on moparts: Lift. Int. Ex. .200 144 117 .300 212 167 .400 262 205 .500 289 231 .550 306 241 .600 323 248 .650 334 251 .700 336 255 I order up a set from Hughes for the new 500 cid stroker engine for the Charger. I just found out the rocker arms for these heads are expensive! Hughes has some 0.600" offset rockers for $600, and Harland Sharpe has 0.650" offset rockers for $1100 |

Other than 500 CID stroker, you haven't stated much about the engine.
IMHO unless you are building an all out race engine, that head is more hassle than and expense than it is worth. The 440 source head or the standard EB head would have been better choices. From Hughes |

My Original plan was to have my B-1 B/S heads repaired and cnc ported to max wedge size for about 350 cfm of flow, but I decided to try out the new Victor max wedge heads "unported" for now. Some of my original plans for the build have changed since I am building two stroker engines at the same time. I am building a stroked 400 to 500 cid for the Charger, and a stroked 440 to 505 for Coronet. The 500 "B" engine is going to be a serious bracket engine with the Victor heads, 440 source stroker kit with I-beam rods, over 12:1 compression, BCR aluminum main caps and stud girdle kit, etc. Currently, I have not decided on the induction. I orignally was going to use an Indy tunnel ram and dual 750 cfm carbs for E-85, but I'm quickly running out of funds so my M1 intake and 1,000 cfm Holley HP might have to do in the short term. Estimated HP is 700+ The 505 "RB" engine is again a 440 source stroker kit with the I-beam rods and 10:1 compression pistons using the 440 source stealth heads. I'll probbably use a Hughes hydraulic cam. This will be a mild 500+ HP engine for the convertible. I chose the stealth heads because they do have more of a stock appearance than any other aluminum head. Again, because of funds I may just run this with the stock intake and exhaust manifolds for now. |

Hughes only sold the heads. They were not manufactured for or by Hughes. The only batch of castings that they received were inferior and they cleaned them up, before shipping them out. After that, Hughes was never able to get in touch with Bulldog again.
