OK, 2000 miles or 3000 km first highway trip. Approximately 275 miles each way, first leg driven like a retard, what can I say, I want to get there. Speed is 70-90 mph on average, let it go on one straight a way, she hit 200 kmh, or 125 mph.

Comments- shifted out of 3rd into OD at 185 kph, 115 mph approx. pulled fairly hard in OD at that speed I was impressed.

Let off just before 200 kph, did not run into any sort of governor.

Speed is as indicated by speedo, I will re-check thesae numbers at a later date with GPS.

Trip home, 460 km as measured by the trip meter. Speed 65-75 mph, a few short bursts to 85-90 mph for passing, all done with gentle throttle pressure, no radical down shifting. Fueled on the way out of Edmonton, re-fueled on the way in to Ft. McMurray, 73 litres consumed. 17.5 miles per gallon. Direct translation to US milage is 14 mpg, US gallon is 20% smaller than imperial.

Currently Durango has 4.7 and 235x 70 R15 tires. I am considering a tire change to 31x10.5x15. I did this exact change on my 1991 318 4x4 and went from 14 mpg to 18 instantly.

Any other results here?

Brian

Went to Pensylvania and drove 300miles and still had about a half a tank left. Sounds like over 20mpg.

I'm betting the RedLine 5W-30 helped a lot!

Sorry I can't give more specifics.
