Default W2 Pushrods

Ok guys, I have finally started putting together my motor, I have the 406 stroker motor from mopar performance, topped with W2 heads, the nice adjustable aluminum rockers. Now how do i get the proper length for a pushrod as i have to cut to fit them. I have the kit, just need to figure this out.

A checker pushrod, it's adjustable in length and easy to read and adjust.
Huges has them, comp cams as well.

Just remember the proper amount of preload on Hyd. cams, 2 threads showing on the adjusters at the rocker, proper "Lash" amount for mech. cams.

Here's mopars old fashioned way

Assemble engine with, cam, one lifter, head bolted up,rockerarms and shafts installed.

roll cam to base of circle, adjuster ball protruding 9/32, rocker arm tip held securely against valve stem, install prod into position in lifter.

carefully mark prod tube were it lines up with bottom of adjuster ball

cut tube squarely were it lines up with bottom of adjuster ball.

put tube back in engine, it should just slide under the adjuster ball. measure the clearance between the adjuster ball and record.

put the prod tube in a lath and trim off 0.160 from the end.
if the clearance measured between the adjuster ball and prod from the measured and recorded clearance is over 0.010, subtract this from the 0.160.

drill the tube to the correct size, chamfer the inside and outside of the prod tube and press in the sockets.
