Cool Cam help - I read the sticky!

Yes, I read the sticky and searched around this site a little bit (but I'm not good at that). My friend has a 383 that he wants to have the "lope" sound. He also wants a gear drive noise so it will have to be a 3-bolt version. He doesn't care so much about performance. Does anyone know of a cam that works with stock rocker arms, stock valve springs and stock push rods and will "lope"?

I'm sorry if this is a repeated question with no definite answer.

Welcome to the board, I live in the Sac area too.

How much lope does your friend want? The factory 440-6 cam has a pleasant lope and the '70-'71 was 3-bolt.

Why does it HAVE to be a 3 bolt version?

A lope sound is with a tighter centerline. 110 or less.

He wants a gear drive and I don't think anybody makes a gear drive for a single bolt cam.

Here's what the 6-pack cam sounds like:

This cam is available from Mopar Performance, P/N is P4529270

That's correct. He has a gear drive so it has to be a 3 bolt cam. Thanks John that sounds great. I'll let him listen to that and see where we go from there.
