I just bought a 90 Dak 2wd,it originally had a 2.5L 5 spd which I quickly sold, now I want to install a 78 360hp,anyone ever done this? it looks simple enough...but,The steering column seems to be in the way of where the exh will be and what about mounts?Ive looked at a 91 dak 4wd w/5.9L but it uses a steering box instead of rack and pinion.I could fab new mtr mts and steering column but Im really looking to keep it simple if possible.Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have seen a Dak w/ a V8 useing a rack and pinion steering in it. It came from the factory this way. I know everything was real close.
